Off-Site SEO

Off-Site SEO refers to the actions taken outside of your own website that impacts your rankings on a search engine result page (SERP). Why does this matter you might ask? Simple, Off-Site SEO directly affects the visibility and rankings of your website and should be addressed on any SEO campaign. Today I will be discussing a few techniques I have learned over the years that should help you improve your own SEO skills.

Backlinks

Backlinks should be the bedrock of your Off-Site SEO strategy. Quality backlinks from other reputable websites will help push up your site on search engine result pages. According to Moz one of the leaders in the SEO industry states, Off-Site SEO-related factors likely carry more than 50% of the ranking weight on your website. That is a big percentage and shouldn’t be over looked when creating an SEO strategy on your website.

The are three main types of links you can create on a website.

Natural links
Are links given naturally on a website without any action taken by the author of that link. A good example of this technique would be to review the paragraph above. Noticed how I linked to a Moz article that gives more insight on backlinks, which in return brings more value to my reader.

Manually Built Links
Are links added to a website by the action of that links author. There are many different ways to build backlinks manually but one common way is to ask an influencer to share your content. Remember your backlink should bring value to the reader by supplying that reader with additional content not available on your website.

Self-Created Links
Is a practice know by adding links to online directories, forms, blogs or comment sections. This is my least favorite out of the three and is the most abused technique when it comes to creating quality backlinks online.

None-link Related Off-Site SEO

While earning links off-site is one of the most common technique it’s not the only one. Almost any activity done off your website that relates back to your brand without a link can be considered None-Link Related Off Site-SEO. This can be achieved by Social Media Marketing, Guest Blogging and Influencer Marketing. The main object to this strategy is to bring attention and creditability to your brand by giving you a voice within your community and industry.

Conclusion

By doing quality Off-Site SEO, will help improve the visibility and rankings of your site in search engine result pages by building creditability from other trusted resources within your community. If you are interested in learning more or looking to hire a SEO company, LET’S TALK.
